Meredith Acquires FamilyFun From Disney

Meredith Corp.just announced that it has agreed to acquire FamilyFun magazine and related assets from Disney Publishing Worldwide. Terms were not disclosed, but Meredith said the deal would have "no material effect" on its 2012 financial performance, and that it was expected to close within 30 days.

The acquisition includes the magazine, with an audience of 6 million and rate base of 2.1 million; its special interest publications; and its ToyHopper and digital magazine applications.
