Discovery en Espanol Scores With Hispanic Viewers

Discovery en Español closed 2011 as the second-most-watched Hispanic pay TV channel for the third year in a row across the 18-49 demo, according to the network. The network tied Sunday nights with Galavision (7-11 p.m.) for the No. 1 spot, with shows such as "Apocalipsis Maya" and "Los Hipopótamos del Capo" leading audience interest. Ivan Bargueiras, General Manager, Discovery U.S. Hispanic, states that an "increased investment in original content and five years in the marketplace has made Discovery en Español a destination for audiences of all ages."
