Radio syndicator Westwood One says it has pulled a commercial Tepurpedic mattresses voiced by Fox News Channel talk show host Bill O’Reilly, after Fox News complained about when the spots were airing.
Under an agreement between Fox News Channel and Westwood One, O’Reilly’s voice can be used in commercials only during his daily radio talk show. Westwood One aired the mattress ad during other shows
until it was presented with a cease and desist by Fox News this week. Fox News Channel bars its on-air personalities from appearing in commercials, but it allowed O’Reilly to voice the radio
commercials during out of recognition it’s a common practice on radio.
