Mobile Search Clicks, Impressions Rise In Q4

Mobile search is growing. In fact, in Q4 2011, mobile search ad impressions rose 317%; and spend, 269%, compared with the year-ago quarter. That's according to a study released Tuesday by digital marketing firm IgnitionOne. Retailers spent 14.2% of total paid search budgets on mobile advertising, compared with 5.2% last year. Search advertising experienced the best quarter, benefiting from the strong holiday season. It rose 26% in Q4 2011, compared with the year-ago quarter. Impressions rose 42%; clicks, 42%; and transactions 67%.
