Wedding site theknot.com has come out with its prediction of trends for the year ahead, and says the current love affair with fairy tales, including such buzzed-about movies as Snow White and The Huntsman and Mirror, Mirror, are likely to have new brides hi-hoing down the aisle in dresses with a new “a mysterious and sexy vibe.” Vera Wang’s new witchcraft-inspired line will be high on the list, it says.

Those “once upon a time” settings, also influenced by the upcoming new The Hobbit, will also have an effect on wedding décor, with brides shopping for “a woodsy vibe,” including cabbage roses, peonies and dinner plate dahlias. (But we hope not fruit.)  Other trends include watercolor designs, The Hunger Games-style bachelor parties, When Harry Met Sally-inspired video trailers, panoramic wedding portraits, and ritzy ranch weddings.
