AOL's Huffington Post doesn't want to be about just static, print journalism on the Internet -- now it wants to do video in a big way. Like perhaps what CNN is doing.
According to a Forbes report, AOL’s Huffington Post Media Group is readying a live over-the-Internet video channel modeled on the 24-hour cable news networks, like CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.
The project's working title: The Huffington Post Streaming Network, or HPSN. Some 320 Huffington Post staffers could contribute to the new network. The new video service will be previewed at Feb. 2 at AOL’s Manhattan headquarters.
