Georgia Goes Online

  • March 5, 2003
The Georgia Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism (GDITT) has launched an interactive advertising campaign, developed and planned by Atlanta-based Ant Farm Interactive. It launched on March 1 and runs through May 31. The campaign includes a mix of online advertising, direct email advertising and an online sweepstakes offering an all-expense-paid Georgia vacation to a choice of five locations. It is the second year for GDITT online. Exposure is expected to reach more than 6.7 million people for a total cost of about $180,000. GDITT Deputy Commissioner of Tourism Janis Cannon said last year’s campaign tripled the existing email database of individuals interested in Southeastern U.S. travel, while reducing marketing costs by 27%.
