Jeremy Lin is the man in the Big Apple, and he's getting to be a big deal elsewhere, too.
TheMarketingArm, Omnicom's sports marketing business has some new Jeremy Lin stats showing he's known by about 38% of U.S. consumers, meaning he's about as well known as Brian Urlacher, Ichiro Suzuki, Kyle Busch, Ozzie Smith, and Kevin Durant.
In terms of appeal, he's 854th of 2,800 celebs in the firm's rankings database. So consumers who know him consider him to be about as likeable as Jamie Foxx, Erin Andrews, Jim Carrey, and Dwight Howard.
But in terms of aspiration, he's big, having made the top 25 putting him in the territory of Denzel Washington, John Elway, George Clooney, and Cal Ripken. And he's not so shabby in influence, having made the top 50 (#43), on par with J-Lo, Reese Witherspoon, Jerry Rice, Hank Aaron, Eli Manning, and Steven Spielberg.
Finally, consumers rank him among the top 100 celebs in terms of trendsetting (#78), in the same neighborhood as Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Shaun White, and Usher.
