Sprint Lets Fans Pick NASCAR All Star

  • March 28, 2012

Sprint is asking fans to help determine the starting lineup for the NASCAR Sprint Cup All-Star Race. The program centers on the Sprint Fan Vote, under way now, wherein fans can cast ballots for their favorite eligible driver. The driver receiving the highest number of votes will earn a spot in the race field and a shot at the $1 million payday.

The race airs live on Speed Channel on May 19, from Charlotte Motor Speedway. Last year, fans cast more than 2.4 million votes, which was a record number.

Fans can vote by using the NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile Android application on Sprint phones, or by texting “VOTE” to 229466 on any wireless carrier. Voting is also at NASCAR.com/AllStar.

Sprint will also have a midway venue at NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races called the Sprint Experience where fans can vote.

As an added customer benefit, votes submitted from a Sprint, Boost, Nextel or Virgin Mobile device count double toward an individual driver’s total.
