Media General: Plenty Of Suitors For Our Newspapers

Media General, which has been gearing up for a sale of all or some of its 23 newspaper properties since February, said it has received "'numerous inquiries from potential buyers," writes John Reid Blackwell.
The company, which announced an "operating profit in the quarter largely because of improved results at its television stations," is looking "to shift more toward broadcast and digital media."
