Bertelsmann and Sony Corp. Friday announced a binding agreement to combine their recorded music businesses into an equally owned joint venture. The new company, Sony BMG, will be based in New York.
Andrew Lack, chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, will be CEO of the new company.
