P&G Issues Strong Long-Term Outlook

At a time when most national marketers are reporting improving earnings, Procter & Gamble Co. Wednesday issued new financial guidance indicating its upswing would be sustainable. The company, the largest consumer packaged goods marketer, said fourth quarter sales are expected to mark its eight consecutive quarter of growth at or above its long-term objectives. The company reiterated its long-term sales goal of four percent to six percent rates of growth.
