TV Guide Boosts Price, Newsstand Marketing Efforts

TV Guide Monday announced plans to boost its newsstand price to $2.49, effective in January, as part of a new newsstand marketing initiative. In related moves, TV Guide Publishing Group announced plans to use Time Distribution Services and Warner Publisher Services to help with its retail marketing efforts and said it would shift retail distribution of TV Guide magazine to Thursdays of the week preceding TV listings versus the current Monday on-sale date.
