P&G's Duracell brand is launching a new product called Duralock with Power Preserve Technology. The company says it's the biggest news since CopperTop. The company says the batteries, set for retail distribution starting this summer, are guaranteed to stay powered for up to 10 years in storage.

The Duralocks will be packaged with a "good until" date. They will be packaged with an encircling color demarcation, and will be available for CopperTop, Ultra Power, and rechargeable batteries.
