Hearst has announced plans to launch Cosmopolitan in Israel. The mag's debut issue, which debuts on newsstands this week, will be published in association with Israeli firm Strategy Business
Communication. Cosmo's launch marks the first time an international women's lifestyle magazine has been developed specifically for the Israeli market. Printed in Hebrew, its overall content and spirit
mirrors the American version, but certain social elements that are unique to the Israeli way of life have been included as well. "We are delighted to give Israeli women something that directly
reflects their own lives," Helen Gurley Brown, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan's international editions, said in a press release. Around 50,000 copies of the debut issue will be printed. It will carry
60 pages of advertising, including ads from Clinique, Dolce & Gabbana, Estee Lauder and Hyundai.
