Dixons Prefers AOL

Dixons and AOL said Monday that they have signed a new agreement under which AOL will become the preferred internet services provider to Dixons customers through Dixons' 1,100 PC World, Dixons, Currys and The Link stores in the U.K. As Dixons' preferred online provider, AOL will offer a range of packages, including unmetered and light user price plans, through all stores, the company said. The agreement is phased to cover narrowband access products from February 2004 and broadband from February 2005, when the current Freeserve agreements end.
