Food Network Hits 80.9 Million Subscribers

Food Network has hit the 80 million subscriber mark. Nielsen Media Research latest show that 80.9 million homes across the United States now have Food Network. "Since E.W. Scripps acquired the network in 1997, we have added over 61 million subscribers, said Food Network President, Judy Girard in a press release. "The resources dedicated to the network have enabled us to evolve and offer a wide variety of programming which has resulted in record ratings growth." Over the past three months, Food Network has added more than 107 cable systems in more than 100 cities.
