Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) has announced that "Big Bang IV: Mastering Magazine PR" will take place on Tuesday, November 11 in New York City. The day-long conference, which brings together experts from the worlds of print, electronic media and event planning, will be keynoted by crisis PR guru Howard Rubenstein. Expert panels include "Make Your Point to Print," in which journalists from The New York Times, The New York Daily News and Advertising Age will discuss the best ways to effectively pitch reporters on the magazine beat. "Work the Angles from Print to Air" will focus on getting magazine stories onto top TV and cable outlets, while "Create Events for the Biggest Bang" will highlight event-planning techniques.
