The report found that the main reason for ‘bikini photo sabotage’ on social media sites was that the person ‘didn’t like’ that friend anymore; while a nearly third (32%) claimed that the friends in question had ‘done the same to them’. The quarter of women who admitted uploading ugly photos of their friends in swimsuits, also disclosed that they knew the subjects of their snaps would be unhappy with the shot. Furthermore, just under half claimed to have uploaded a picture of a friend in an ‘unflattering outfit’ that they knew their friend would be annoyed about, whilst two fifths admitted to having done the same with photographs of their friends with no make-up on.
