Phillips 66, 76, And Conoco Offer Giveaways

Win-Gas-for-Life-B

Gas station chains Phillips 66, 76 and Conoco are encouraging travelers to hit the road this summer, despite apprehension about gas prices.

The company is launching a seasonal promotion that offers drivers the opportunity to win free gas for life, among more than 6,000 other prizes.

They are making consumers aware of the promotion via gas station displays, social media, and on dedicated websites: www.Phillips66GasForLife.com, www.76GasForLife.com or www.ConocoGasForLife.com.

Automobiles are the primary means of transportation for leisure travel, according to a recent American Express Spending & Saving Tracker report, and 69% of those surveyed plan to travel by car this summer.

However, the national average retail price of regular gasoline rose 5.5 cents a gallon to $3.411 a gallon last week, the Energy Information Administration said.

The rise was the first since April 2. Prices had fallen by 58.5 cents in the previous 13 weeks. Those declines started from a price that was the highest since mid-May 2011.

"Our Gas for Life promotion is more than a way to offer our promise of high performance gasoline, it's a way to help our loyal customers enjoy summer vacations and road trips with an added incentive of free gas along the way," said Tami Walker, Manager, U.S. Fuels Brand Management for Phillips 66, 76 and Conoco in a relase.

Drivers who fill up with 10 gallons or more of gasoline at participating Gas for Life stations now through July 31, can get a game card and enter the access number online for a chance to win prizes, including $20 gas cards, one of 24 chances for a year of free gas and a grand prize of free gas for life -- all of which can be used to fuel summer adventures on the road.

The annual Gas for Life summertime promotion offers an extra value this year. Patrons who enter with their KickBack Points loyalty card will be automatically entered to win a brand new 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible.
