Sporting News has partnered with NASCAR to develop and distribute three racing publications: The NASCAR Review and The NASCAR Nextel Cup Preview magazines, and The NASCAR Record and Fact Book. Preview
is the first NASCAR-related title under the Nextel banner, which takes over for Winston as the series' sponsor starting in 2004. The $7.99 mag will debut in January, with an expected circulation of
400,000. Review, slated for release this month, will have a circulation of 250,000.
"Partnering with a brand like Sporting News - one with a tremendous history, scope and name recognition - will
allow us to bring even more NASCAR-related information and entertainment to both casual and avid fans," said Mark Dyer, NASCAR's vice president of consumer products and licensing, in a press release.
