Reilly Upped To Fox Broadcasting Entertainment Chairman

Kevin-Reilly-A

Following the recent promotion of Peter Rice, News Corp. Fox Broadcasting continued to make senior executive changes -- now promoting Kevin Reilly to chairman of entertainment for Fox Broadcasting.

Reilly, who had been president of entertainment of Fox Broadcasting, will now oversee all programming, scheduling, marketing, research, digital and business affairs for the network. Marketing and alternative programming are two new areas that are now under Reilly's control.

He had run the network's programming operations since 2007. Fox has been the top broadcasting network among 18-49 viewers for the last eight seasons.

Peter Rice, chairman and chief executive officer of Fox Networks Group, called Reilly a "uniquely gifted executive with the strong strategic vision and creative instincts to ensure that Fox continues to drive the future of our industry."

News of Reilly's elevation comes as News Corp. has been restructuring its senior executives at Fox.

In late July, Rice was promoted to chairman and chief executive officer of Fox Networks Group, now overseeing Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox Sports Media Group, FX, Fox International Channels and the National Geographic Channels. Rice had been chairman of Fox Broadcasting since 2009.

Last week, David Haslingden, president and COO of Fox Networks Group, said he would be leaving the company by the end of the year.
