Macy's Announces Dramatic Luxury Expansion

  • September 6, 2012

Macy’s, which has been raising plenty of dust with the ongoing $400 million makeover at its Herald Square flagship, says that by this holiday season, it will have transformed its main floor into a showcase for luxury brands, including shops from Gucci, Burberry and Longchamp.

Describing the redesign as “epic,” Macy’s says the shops will make Macy’s a  “must-see” for luxury consumers. With three levels each, spanning a full city block, the redo will create the biggest shop for each brand, except for their respective flagships, complete with sweeping staircases, elevators, full shop facades and live runway feeds.
