Verizon Wireless Celebrates Hispanic 'Suenos'

  • September 10, 2012

Verizon Wireless is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a new contest celebrating Hispanic history, contributions and culture.

The contest, “Dia de tus Suenos” (“Day of Your Dreams”), allows Latinos to register for an experience such as spending five hours with a nationally recognized Hispanic celebrity (such as telenovela star Gaby Espino, Indy Car Driver Helio Castroneves or chef Ingrid Hoffman), as well as $1,000 and a tablet through which one can record their experience.

"Hispanic heritage plays a very significant role in our communities and it's important that we continue to promote the influence and success of Latinos across the country," said Jonathan LeCompte, president – Georgia/Alabama region, Verizon Wireless. "We also need to encourage and support the bold aspirations of young Latinos as they determine what their influence will be."
