Clear Channel Donates Record Ad Sum

The Advertising Council Tuesday said radio and outdoor giant Clear Channel Communications has agreed to donate $120 million in ad time and space for 2004 public service ad campaigns, making it the largest upfront ad commitment from a single media company in the council's 60-year history. The contribution is all the more striking, because 2004 Olympic and election spending is expected to peak demand for radio and outdoor ad inventory.
