  • September 15, 2003
Reader's Digest has filled the void atop its masthead, tapping Christopher Lambiase as vice president, publisher. He replaces Eric Gruseke, who left the magazine last month. "Christopher has a keen understanding of the power of our brand and will communicate that message effectively in all markets, and within the industries that matter to Reader's Digest," said vice president and publishing director Laura McEwen in a press release. "His expertise in the areas of automotive, financial services and technology will prove invaluable as we seek to elevate the profile of America's leading magazine brand." During Lambiase's tenure as president and publishing director, SmartMoney grew its circulation to 800,000 and won two National Magazine Awards. Before working at SmartMoney, he spent 12 years in ad sales at The Wall Street Journal.
