Parenting Ups Their Frequency

  • September 16, 2003
Recent National Magazine Award recipient Parenting magazine will increase its frequency to 11 issues per year in 2004, Parenting Group president David Kieselstein announced yesterday. The magazine will uncouple its summer double issue and publish separate issues in June and July. "We're approaching category leadership in ad pages, and we've done it with two fewer issues per year than Parents," Kieselstein said in a press release. "After our successful repositioning in May, it was clearly time to produce more content to meet heightened advertiser and consumer demand." At 908 ad pages, Parenting is up more than 20% over the year-ago period through September, according to the Publishers Information Bureau. The title's rate base is 2.15 million.
