In an effort to improve consumers' search experiences, Yahoo! Inc. has launched a beta version of Yahoo! Local, which combines its proprietary search technology with Yellow Pages listings, dynamic
maps, third-party content, and user-generated content like ratings and reviews. Among other features, Yahoo! Local will enable users to find businesses located near an exact address or ZIP code, and
to find official local business Web sites.
