people still call businesses

According to Shane Vaughan, CMO of Balihoo, the company's work with Aflac, promoting local Aflac agents, and other national businesses with a local presence, revealed that when people are looking for a local business, around 70% of the time the final information-gathering and "closing the deal" activities take place over the phone -- i.e., they call the business.  Amazingly, in the age of smartphones equipped with email and social media and GPS and possibly mind-reading, people still use these devices to place voice calls. Who knew?
