OpenTV Sues Netflix

The owner of interactive television pioneer OpenTV has sued Netflix, reports Reuters, alleging the company infringed on tech patents that service the Internet video sector. Currently there are a large number of digital TV shows and movies delivered over the Internet to smart TVs, tablets and smartphones. It is a crowded marketplace. Netflix competes with Amazon, Vudu and Hulu, which is owned by Walt Disney Co, News Corp and Comcast Corp.
