Financial Group Slates Media Buying Seminar For Advertising Week

Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association (BCFM) and its BCCA subsidiary (Broadcast Cable Credit Association) has added a seminar during Diversity Week and Advertising Week designed to improve the financial performance of advertising-supported TV networks, radio, and TV broadcast stations and cable systems.

The seminar, Inside the Multimillion Dollar Media Buying Business, will be held on Thursday, September 22, from Noon - 5 PM at the Roosevelt Hotel, in New York City.

The seminar will trace the developments affecting the media buying and collections process, including: a review of the software used for placing, tracking and verifying ad placements; an overview of invoicing procedures, encompassing electronic and traditional invoicing and verification; and a closing session that recaps the day's best practices for faster payments and decreasing DSO (day sales outstanding).

The cost for the seminar, which includes lunch, is $95 for members of BCFM or BCCA and $295 for non-members, which includes a one-year introductory membership to BCFM.
