Opera Buys Mobile Browser Skyfire

Consolidating the mobile browser market, Norway’s Opera Software just announced the acquisition of Mountain View-based Skyfire Labs in a deal that could be worth up to $155 million.
“Much like Opera, [Skyfire] helps mobile operators boost their capacity by reducing the size of video and multimedia by up to 60 percent,” The Next Web reports. “That technology is
an ideal fit for Opera.”
