GroupM has appointed Stuart Garvie to the new position of Chief Commercial Officer at GroupM Canada. In his new role, Garvie will work with the CEOs of GroupM media shops to create shared
specialist services in areas like sports sponsorship, entertainment marketing, data and analytics, and mobile. Those agencies include Mindshare, MEC, MediaCom and Maxus. He will also oversee GroupM's
consolidated trading approach with the buying heads of those shops. Garvie is currently London-based deputy global trading director at Maxus. He is relocating to Toronto to take on the new assignment,
which is effective May 1.
