Organic's Shulman Hires Chief Strategy, Client Officers

Monik-Sanghvi-ADavid Shulman, who joined Omnicom’s Organic six months ago, is quickly putting his stamp on the digital shop.

Shulman, who jumped to Organic from WPP’s Wunderman, where he was president, has made several senior management moves, including the hiring of Monik Sanghvi as chief strategy officer. Joe DiMeglio, head of Organic’s Detroit office, has been promoted to chief client officer -- a new role at the agency. Audrey Melofchik, a senior vice president at the firm, has been tapped to head the shop’s New York office.

For Sanghvi, it’s the second tour of duty at Organic, where he started his career as a director over a decade ago. The move back to Organic also reunites him with Shulman -- the pair worked together at Publicis Groupe’s Digitas. In between, Sanghvi served at WPP’s Team Detroit as chief digital and integration officer, a post he assumed in mid-2010.

DiMeglio, a seven-year Organic veteran, will oversee the agency’s client services team. He will also continue to manage Organic’s Detroit office.

Melofchik joined Organic two years ago to run the agency’s Kimberly-Clark account. She will continue to handle that business while taking on the added duties of running the New York office.

Shulman said the promotions would help drive “client value” as they strengthen the agency’s management team.

The appointments come on the heels of two other recent executive hires, including Chief Creative Officer David Bryant, who joined Organic from Google where he was creative strategist, and Chief Talent Officer Mark Murata, a Digitas alumnus.
