On My Way To SXSW

SXSW-AI can't wait to experience Austin and SXSW, so I can fill you in on everything from the CMO Club roundtable to events with Bing, Yahoo, Google, Samsung, Fandango and others.

At the CMOs-only Roundtable at SXSW on Saturday, PureMatter President and CEO Bryan Kramer will talk about how CMOs need to not only pay attention to body language while in social settings, but also their collective behavior across the Web. There's no way to control every perception, but what is posted to the Web carries weight.

This week the CMO Club launched a vendor-rating program that allows its 700 members to privately share recommendations on vendors across 18 product and services categories. It's a digital platform to rate favorite search and digital agencies, analytics firms, branding firms, and others. The engine averages between five and 10 weekly recommendations, according to Peter Krainik, CMO Club founder and president. "It's all about sharing information to build a network and solve the biggest problems," he said.

Yahoo will introduce new and upcoming products, ideas and brands through its Launch Alley initiative. The technology is "inspired by the next daily habits." Wearable technology is one trend I'm anxious to hear more about. Several panels will focus on making technology into a fashion accessory. And what about social? Warner Bros. is hosting a session called “Tell-a-Vision” where people can pitch digital series ideas to execs. And then on Sunday, Guy Kawasaki interviews Amit Singhal, SVP and Google Fellow, about the future of mobile search.

Samsung Mobile continues to build its own network. Galaxy owners can tap a TecTile for free offers from local businesses, from free pedicab rides during Interactive through a partnership with Uber, to free sandwiches at Jalopy Rotisserie & Press or pizza from Brick Oven Pizza. In fact, there are nearly a dozen free offers for those with a Galaxy.

And if you get stuck at SXSW without enough battery power for the phone, owners can tweet #PowerOn to @SamsungMobileUS for a delivery of a brand new, fully charged battery via a bike messenger.

Will I see you at SXSW?
