'Bang' Dominates Syndie Ratings

Big-Bang-Theory-AAAmong syndication TV shows "Wheel of Fortune" dashed to the line and nipped "The Big Bang Theory" in terms of overall viewers recently. But the big off-net comedy continues to dominate syndication this season so far.

CBS Television Distribution's "Wheel" had a Nielsen 11.7 million viewers, while "Bang" delivered 11.6 million viewers for Warner Bros. for the week ending March 3. But for the season overall, "Bang" is ahead to an average 11.3 million viewers to "Wheel"s 11 million.

CBS' "Judge Judy" is third for the season at 9.6 million; then comes CBS' "Jeopardy" at 9.5 million. Fifth place among the big Monday-to-Friday-airing shows goes to Warner Bros. "Two and a Half Men" at 7.7 million.

The next five: Twentieth Television's "Family Feud" at 6.9 million; Twentieth's 5.6 million; CBS' "Entertainment Tonight," 5.3 million; CBS' "Inside Edition," 4.4 million; CBS' "Dr. Phil," 4.0 million; and Twentieth's "How I Met Your Mother" at 3.9 million.

Among new shows, Disney-ABC Domestic Television's "Katie" is still the best with 2.5 million viewers. NBC Universal Television Distribution's "Steve Harvey" is at 1.9 million. CBS' "Jeff Probst," which will not return for another season, is at 955,000; Twentieth's "Ricki Lake," also not returning for season two, is at 941,000; Twentieth's "Jeremy Kyle" is at 781,000, while NBC Universal's "Trisha" earned 689,000.

Among key 18-49 viewers, "Bang" dominates during the week and weekend. Its Monday-to-Friday version is at average 4.1 rating; "Bang" (weekend 'B' version) is at 3.0 number; "Big Bang" (weekend "A" version) 2.6; Twentieth's "Family Guy" (Monday through Friday), 2.5; and "Family Guy" (weekend version), 2.4.

Looking at key afternoons for women 25-54 viewers, CBS' "Dr. Phil" is tied with Warner's "Ellen DeGeneres" for the season at a 1.7 rating. Both shows are also tied among young women 18-49 with a 1.3 number.

After this pair, NBC's "Maury" at a 1.5 among 18-49 viewers and 1.6 among older female 25-54 viewers. Disney's "Live with Kelly & Michael" was at a 1.2 rating at 18-49 and 1.6 number among 25-54 viewers, while Sony Pictures Television's "Dr. Oz" recorded a 1.0 rating among 18-49 viewers and 1.3 among 25-54 viewers.
