With 120% annual growth for the last 10 years, China has become the world’s second-largest e-tail market, estimated to be worth some $210 billion in revenues. McKinsey, in its "China’s e-tail Revolution: Online Shopping as a Catalyst for Growth" report, said around 90% of Chinese e-retail happens on virtual marketplaces involving online storefronts on eBay and Amazon-type sites like PaiPai, Taobao and Tmall.
