U.S. consumers spend an average of 2 hours and 38 minutes per day on smartphones and tablets, with 80% of that time in apps and 20% on the mobile Web, according to Flurry. The study finds that all mobile browsers combined, which are considered a category of apps, command 20% of the consumers' time. Gaming apps remain the largest category of all, with 32% of time spent.
