Netflix To Stream New 'Arrested Development' Episodes

Arrested-DevelopmentAfter about a six-year absence, new episodes of critically acclaimed “Arrested Development” are returning to circulation. Netflix said Season Four will launch on its service May 26 with 15 episodes.

Original executive producer Mitchell Hurwitz is behind it. The show ran on Fox from 2003-2006. All the new episodes will be released at once, per Netflix strategy with its original productions.

The new “Arrested Development” will launch in multiple territories, including the U.S., the U.K., Nordic territories and Brazil.

Taking a page from other premium TV networks, Netflix believes it needs to offer original programming to differentiate itself. “House of Cards” with Kevin Spacey is believed to have had some success, while “Hemlock Grove” is set for a mid-April launch.
