Starwood Hotels and Resorts is bringing back its “Hear The Music, See the World” global series in partnership with Live Nation.
Imagine Dragons, One Republic, Paloma Faith and Sara Bareilles are some of the artists that make up the series taking place at nine Starwood hotel properties around the world in destinations including Barcelona, Bangkok, New York and the Bay area. The slate of talent will include a mix of genres ranging from rock, hip-hop, electronic, pop and more.
“Music is an important part of our lives, and we find our members are as passionate about music as they are travel and our hotels,” said Mark Vondrasek, senior vice president, distribution, loyalty and partnership marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, in a release.
Each event will be individually customized in collaboration with the artists and Starwood’s distinctive brand positioning, incorporating the unique style, décor and rituals of each of its nine diverse brands. Each experience will spotlight unique hotel brand attributes that define each of the properties.
Members of Starwood Preferred Guest, the loyalty program from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, can redeem or bid Starpoints to attend the acoustic performances and artist experiences at spg.com/hearthemusic. Access will also be granted through ticket giveaways to followers of SPG’s Facebook page (facebook.com/spg) and Twitter feed (@spg). Plus, one winner will receive access to their choice of performance plus hotel and airfare through a “Throwback Thursday” Instagram (SPG) contest running each Thursday through May 2.
Members can register through May 5 for an opportunity to earn a $50 Ticketmaster.com code for every three nights stayed with Starwood. Members who link their SPG and Foursquare accounts can earn a $10 Ticketmaster.com code for one hotel check-in.
As the exclusive hotel partner, ticket purchasers on the LiveNation.com site will find a "Where to Stay" page directing concertgoers to the nearest Starwood Hotel. Customized hotel booking for Live Nation artists on tour will be coordinated by Starwood working with the company's touring division.
