State Farm Sponsors Telemundo's Latin Music Awards

State Farm will return for the fifth year in a row as the top-line sponsor for Telemundo's coverage of the “Billboard Latin Music Awards.” The Spanish-language network says the broadcast has traditionally generated its highest ratings among entertainment specials.

With State Farm as presenting sponsor, Garnier Fructis, Pepsi, Sprint, Target, Mars (including Twix) are additional backers of the April 25 broadcast. Bud Light will have a role with red carpet coverage before the show.

The insurance company will use its Latino Facebook page as a venue to provide behind-the-scenes access along with a YouTube channel and Telemundo.com.

State Farm will also offer some attendees a chance to interact with star Tito El Bambino. And State Farm has an agreement with Shazam to allow viewers to access further content during the show, including videos, photos and the chance to buy music through a Shazam app.

Marc Anthony, Pitbull and Shakira are among the performers during the show. Last year, Telemundo said the broadcast posted its highest ratings in its 14-year history, while reaching some 1.3 million 18- to-49 year-olds, by one measure.
