Hachette Reorganizes

Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. announced a reorganization of the company's magazine titles on Monday while promoting two executives.

Hachette is forming a Men's Enthusiast Network (MEN) comprised of its men's titles and Web sites, and has promoted Nicholas J. Matarazzo to executive vice president to lead the new group.

The Men's Enthusiast Network will be comprised of four subgroups: - Automotive Group: Car and Driver, Road & Track, and Speed (to be published bimonthly in 2005) - Entertainment Group: Premiere, Sound & Vision, and Mobile Entertainment - Photo Group: American Photo and Popular Photography & Imaging - Cycle World, Boating, and Flying

Also, group publishing director John J. Miller will head the Woman's Service and Shelter Groups which include the following magazines and Web sites: Woman's Day, Woman's Day Special Interest Publications, For Me, Elle Decor, Metropolitan Home, and Home. For Me's debut issue will appear on newsstands November 9th.

Group publishing director Carol A. Smith will continue to oversee what is now the Elle Group, which includes Elle and Ellegirl and their respective Web sites.

In addition, Stephen J. McEvoy, the current vice president/publisher of Elle, has been promoted to senior vice president, corporate sales and marketing group including corporate sales, corporate marketing and creative services, custom publishing, research, and classified advertising. McEvoy, who began his career with Hachette at Woman's Day in l984, was named as Elle publisher last year.
