NBC Universal Bids To Enter Outdoor Industry

NBC Universal Tuesday announced its intentions to enter the outdoor advertising business, teaming up with Paris -based JCDecaux to bid for New York City's "street furniture" advertising franchise. The venture, which would be called NBCDecaux, is competing for a 20-year contract to manage and maintain thousands of ad-supported bus shelters, newsstands and kiosks.
