MyNetworkTV Picks Up 'Bones,' 'CI'

Moving into its eighth season, MyNetworkTV will drop “Numbers” and “White Collar” while adding a second “Law & Order” and “Bones.” With “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” coming to Wednesdays, 40% of the network’s schedule will come from the Dick Wolf franchise.

“CI” replaces “Numbers,” while Fox series “Bones” swaps in for USA’s “White Collar” on Thursdays. The rest of the schedule holds with “L&O: SVU” on Mondays, “House” on Tuesdays and “Monk” on Fridays.

The network, made up of all syndication programming, runs back-to-back episodes of a single show each weeknight from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

MyNetworkTV, soon to be part of 21st Century Fox, said “L&O: SVU” has seen a 5% ratings bump in households on Mondays to a 2.3, while viewership is up 3% to 3.4 million.

The network launched in 2006 as a way to program stations left without an affiliation, as UPN and WB combined to become the CW. Originally, it sought to run entirely English-language versions of telenovelas -- it even held an upfront presentation where Roger Ailes spoke. It later tried to spur a mixed martial arts league and carried “WWE SmackDown” before settling into its current form as a syndication distributor
