Independent shop gyro has just picked up a pair of hotshot holding company ad agency executives to help flesh out the senior ranks at its New York office.
Auro Trini Castelli has been
appointed head of strategy. Lauren Glazer joins as client services director.
Trini Castelli, a 15-year ad industry veteran, joins the agency from Interpublic Group’s Draftfcb, where
he was senior vice president and global strategy director for Mondelez International’s Oreo brand.
Castelli was part of the team tasked with revitalizing the iconic 100-year-old Oreo
brand. That effort was rewarded last week at the Cannes ad festival where the Draftfcb “Oreo Daily Twist” campaign won a pocketful of Lions including the Cyber Grand Prix. Earlier the
campaign won both Effie and Clio Awards, among others.
Previously, Trini Castelli worked in Europe, overseeing strategic departments at FCB, DDB, Red Cell and the Audi Agency Network.
“Auro’s leadership skills and rock-solid strategic insights are the perfect complement to what we are building here,” stated Keith Turco, president of gyro New York.
Glazer joins gyro from Omnicom’s BBDO, where she was senior vice president, account director on ExxonMobil’s Chemical and Corporate businesses.
Earlier, she spent six
years at indie shop Wieden + Kennedy. At W+K, she started in the Portland office on the Target account, then was promoted to new business manager, a role in which she led successful pitches for
Levi’s, Delta Air Lines and other accounts. She then ran the Delta business out of the agency’s New York office, where she launched the airline’s memorable “Keep
Climbing” campaign.
Glazer’s experience “working on some of the world’s top brands will be a great asset for gyro,” added Turco.
