NBC's 'Talent' Leads Tuesday

NBC’s big summer show “America’s Got Talent” got top honors on Tuesday night -- though only up a bit from last week’s season low.

All that put NBC on top of the broadcast rating list for the night with a Nielsen preliminary 2.0 rating/6 share among 18-49 viewers and 7.6 million total average viewers. Under the two-rating mark was Fox and Univision, each with a 1.5/5; CBS was at a 1.0/3; ABC, a 0.9/3 and CW, a 0.2/1.

“Talent”, a two-hour edition at 9 p.m., was at a 2.5 rating/7 share, up from a 2.4 rating the week before. The second-best player on the night continues to be Fox’ “So You Think You Can Dance?”, a two-hour show at 8 p.m., which came in with a 1.5/5, the same versus a week ago.

Two other middling summer performers, NBC’s “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” and ABC’s “Extreme Weight Loss” made some gains. “Rockers," a half-hour show, climbed 25% to a 1.0/3 at 8:30 p.m.; a two-hour “Weight Loss” at 8 p.m. gained 10% to a 1.1/3.

All other programming was in reruns.

In terms of overall viewers, after NBC, comes CBS with 6.7 million; Fox, 4.4 million; Univision, 3.8 million; ABC, 3.1 million; and CW, 495,000
