Olbermann Returns To ESPN, Hosts Late-Night Show

Keith Olbermann, the often controversial TV news and sportscaster, is coming back to the ESPN family. Olbermann will host a new daily late-night show on ESPN2, called "Olbermann," starting August 26.

The hour-long live show focuses on the day's relevant sports topics, plus a mix of perspective and commentary, interviews, contributors, panel discussions and highlights. It airs 11 p.m. to midnight, broadcast from ABC's Time Square studios in New York City.

"Olbermann" will compete with other late-night entertainment and/or news-oriented late night shows, including Comedy Central's two late night shows -- "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" -- TBS's "Conan," ABC's "Nightline" and others.

Olbermann, who worked for ESPN from 1992 to 1997, most recently was at Current cable news network from June 2011 to March 2012. Before that, he was at MSNBC with "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" from 2003 to 2011. Olbermann also had a stint with Turner Sports before coming to ESPN.
