AOL Launches Program To Develop Mobile AIM

America Online Monday launched an industry-wide mobile developer program to develop, test, and distribute licensed AOL® Instant Messenger (AIM®) clients for mobile devices. LG Electronics, Motorola, Samsung Telecommunications America, Siemens, and OZ have also joined the program. The AOL Mobile Developer Program uses the open standards of the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) so that mobile users can use AIM anywhere, regardless of device, service provider, network, or geography.
