MediaMixNet to Handle FTD

The floral delivery company FTD has chosen MediaMixNet to handle its estimated $5 million national cable TV media buying account. The assignment was previously handled by Omnicom's DDB.

The Downer's Grove, Ill.-based client selected the independent media shop for its "competitive rates" and its local media planning capabilities, a spokeswoman for MediaMixNet said. The assignment for the Chicago-based shop is expected to last at least a year. FTD serves 1,800 U.S. florists and 600 Canadian florists.
