Thirty-three-year-old TPM, with a staff of 35 will be aligned with Saatchi & Saatchi Canada, which is also Toronto based.

The two agencies share an important client—Toyota. TPM has been a long-time roster shop for Toyota, having designed and maintained Toyota Canada’s website since its inception. It has also orchestrated dealer meetings and done a lot corporate video work for the client.

Toyota is also a principal client of Saatchi in Canada, Publicis said. Other clients include Procter & Gamble, Novartis and Go Transit.

Publicis said that while the two shops will be “integrated operationally” Saatchi & Saatchi and TPM will continue to maintain separate brands in the marketplace. The merged entity will be led by Stuart Payne, CEO of S&S Canada while TPM will continue to be overseen by president and creative director Brian Blair who will report to Payne.

“Our two companies are completely complimentary, allowing us to create a totally integrated solution for our clients,” stated Payne.
